Cristie Montgomery has earned the highest level of respect from parents, surrogates, attorneys, reproductive endocrinologists, and nurses. She is known for running “the most professional and reliable surrogacy program available.” Cristie meets each surrogate candidate and all incoming Intended Parents so that she can personally match them to ensure the best possible journey.
Cristie graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1973. She founded SPS in 1990. Today, she is the Director and President of SPS and is personally involved in each case. She is a member in good standing of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society, RESOLVE, Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy, ACAL, and Jefferson Infertility Counseling Conference. She and her husband are the natural parents of two beautiful daughters and are long-time residents of Southern California.
Cristie has had first-hand experience with surrogacy. She was a surrogate who gave birth to a lovely baby girl in 1989. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. Her desire to assist other infertile couples was the motivation for creating Surrogate Parenting Services. Her goal was to establish a professionally supportive program that ensured personal care for both surrogates and intended parents. The success of the program can be seen in the faces of the new parents and the joy shared by their surrogates. Many surrogates and couples have returned to SPS to work with our program again.
As a result of her efforts, SPS has been recognized by hospitals and fertility clinics in the Southern California area as one of the leading programs in surrogacy. She has appeared on TV, in newspaper articles, books, and medical journals, as an authority on surrogacy. She keeps up to date with the latest industry guidelines by frequently attending seminars pertaining to surrogacy and fertility issues.
